Nikki Jarecki is a celebrated visual artist, educator, and illustrator whose work in embroidery, drawing, design, and facilitation can be seen throughout Chicago. Jarecki’s imagery is precarious and plants in the viewer’s mind the tensions between the beautiful and the deadly, between the exalted and the ordinary. Her work as an artist, teacher, and naturalist gathers deeply personal sources to explore the meanings behind significant details in the natural world.

Her work can be found throughout Chicago and has worked with DePaul University, Chicago Public Schools, the Stockyard Institute, Off Color Brewing, Department of Cultural Affairs Chicago Artist Month, and the The Museum of Natural History.
